The ideal candidate will for overseeing the overall sales in the business unit and all related activities required to ensure sales and service goals and objectives for products are attained. This role will be responsible for the Pacific Northwest region. This position will develop and implement business plans for delivery, training and integration of products and services while maintaining expertise and staying informed of development trends in the industry to monitor the organization's competitive market position. What you'll do: * Direct the selling of commercial products and ensure that the sales team provides a high level of service and attain sales, service and profitability objectives * Ensure that the commercial sales business plan is aligned with corporate strategies and objectives. * Ensure that products, pricing, representation and service are maintained at superior levels. * Work effectively with product development, manufacturing and marketing to evaluate the effectiveness of current products, services, policies and marketing campaigns and assist with corrective action as needed. * Represent the commercial business unit to industry associations to strengthen its position in the marketplace and develop strategic selling programs and account management practices necessary to successfully exploit these business opportunities. * Provide mentoring and leadership through critical and independent thinking skills and behavior. What you have: * Four-year college degree in business, marketing or related field * 7-10 or more years of related work experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement. What you're good at: * Excellent communication skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts at all organizational levels * Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's diverse business and product lines, as well as gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze statistical and financial data * Capacity to use appropriate conflict resolution methods in situations to maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards * Thorough knowledge of Mohawk products, distribution options, sales strategies and programs. * Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups What else? * Expect to travel for trade shows, customer visitation, etc. Pay Rate: * Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $170K and $189K* per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company sponsored benefit programs.
