Job Description Summary Applies broad multi-disciplinary engineering (mechanical andelectrical/electronic)knowledge, skills, and methods as well as computer/software systems to design and engineer the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune them appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. As a EGSE Software Development Engineering supporting the Integration and Test team, you will be supporting our mission to return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Responsibilities: Design, implement, test, verify and deploy safety-critical software systems, ensuring the success of the overall Ground Data System (hardware/software) supporting space flight operations. Support Flight and Ground Software Engineers to build/test EGSE, verifying firmware & SW design requirements Write EGSE Rack Level Software & Firmware using drivers in C++ with application program interfaces Develop serial communication software interfaces between EGSE RS-422, RS-485 hardware and vehicle flight avionics Troubleshoot issues and anomalies that arise during testing Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks Perform root cause, system hazard analysis and failure investigations Find opportunities for safety improvements and cost savings Develop, Test & Commission Software Scripts interfacing EGSE Hardware and Ground Software to run in conjunction with Vehicle I&T Procedures. Collaborate with I&T Engineers, generating and maintaining test requirements and verification matrices Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers representing space vehicle systems, mission-control infrastructure, operations fields, and customers to define software requirements, architectures, and designs. Support EGSE SW and Ground Software maintenance, upgrades, and functionality improvements Participate in test readiness review, pre and post test briefings, and post test reviews. Write & maintain SW documentation, and manage procedural redlines/updates during test campaigns Follow software development processes that meet Blue Origin and customer-required standards to ensure software safety and reliability.
