$5,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center – Social Work has an outstanding opportunity for a Social Work Supervisor with the Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center (HATC). .

WORK SCHEDULE • 40 hours per week • Day Shift

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and maintain social work policies and procedures for advocacy services, crisis response, and evaluation and counseling services for victims and their family members. • Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to addressing systemic oppression and serving diverse populations. Actively engage in agency-wide Diversity, Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion practices and strives for racially equitable outcomes • Supervise social work staff to include: assistance with hiring, disciplinary action, and clinical supervision through weekly meetings, review of case notes, tier paperwork, CVC and other reports, observation of clinical work and performance evaluations, and review of reclassification applications. • Ensure the provision of stable, accessible daily functioning of the HATC counseling and advocacy program, including telephone intake coverage, mobile advocacy, in-person and telephone crisis availability, assessment and counseling appointments, social work in the medical clinic, medication clinic, and coordination of the internship/practicum instructor program. Provide work direction to counseling staff and interns and maintain ongoing communication with the managers regarding program issues. Manage other social work clinical issues as needed, including responding to requests for information for cases in which assigned social worker is absent or no longer at HATC. Monitor QA as needed, including Crime Victims Compensation, compliance with Medicaid regulations, monitoring of data regarding services provided. • Provide counseling program oversight for all HMC Emergency Department (ED) sexual assault cases; provide training and supervision to ED social work staff. Ensure follow-up social work follow through on HMC patients seen in the ED. • Plan and implement in-service professional development for counseling and advocacy staff. Arrange for specialized training and schedule weekly group case consultations. • Coordinate with other HATC leaders regarding service delivery, program development, budgeting, research, and other relevant issues. Assist in various accreditation reviews. • Serve as community liaison for the purpose of educating community professionals about HATC counseling and advocacy services, providing consultation on difficult cases, problem-solving, and enhancing relationships between HATC and other community agencies. Teach in workshops and conferences as assigned. • Provide HATC counseling program specific direct services as needed, including telephone intake and in-person crisis, assessment, and treatment.

Strong candidates will have clinical supervision experience and experience using delivering Evidence Based Treatment modalities

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education AND four years of full-time professional social work experience. Two years of this experience must have been in a health care setting OR equivalent education/experience.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: Within 90 days of hire must hold one of the following credentials issued by the state of Washington: • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
