[MH1] Position Overview Come aboard the Bear Force as a System Administrator II within our dynamic Global IT Infrastructure team characterized by innovation, creativity, and building. In this position, you won't just be working closely with the IT infrastructure team, but also collaborating with cross-functional partners from Operations, Security, and Communications departments to manage and enhance our Global IT Infrastructure. What You'll Do Partner with business to create solutions using infrastructure, software, and hardware to meet current and foreseen business needs. Serve as the primary contact for the IT teams, adept at addressing both routine and intricate issues, and promptly resolving level 2, 3 and 4 IT Infrastructure tickets. Facilitate technical discussions with clients and cross functional teams to tackle pivotal business-related technical challenges and formulate measures for correction and prevention. Oversee and manage the global physical IT infrastructure (network switching, storage, compute, etc.), housed within on-site data centers (MDFs & IDFs) or various colocation facilities. Function as the principal technical liaison for addressing diverse incidents and requests related to service interruptions across the organization and promptly respond managing various technical issues, coordinate resolution efforts, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle. Train essential teams on the correct utilization and upkeep of implemented solutions to guarantee their ongoing acceptance. Create, document, and sustain policies and procedures governing the management and operation of IT infrastructure. This includes establishing guidelines for system configuration, maintenance protocols, industry best practices, disaster recovery plans, and compliance standards. Managing and upholding system software to sustain the IT Infrastructure environment, which involves tasks such as implementing upgrades, service packs, patches, hot fixes, and configuring security settings. Observing system performance, usage patterns, and trends to guarantee the availability, reliability, redundancy, and capacity adequacy of the systems. Who You Are An individual driven by motivation, innovation, and collaboration, adept at functioning both as a team player and a leader when required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure or Operations implementing, managing, and troubleshooting Windows, Linux, and Cloud environments. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of technical infrastructure, including Identity and Access Management (Okta, Entra ID or similar), cloud systems (Azure preferred), VMware, Automox, Atlassian (Jira & Confluence), and Veeam or AvePoint. Experience with PowerShell or script execution is a plus. Basic experience establishing and overseeing database environments like SQL Server. Familiarity with Always-On databases is a plus. Continuous technical expertise in crafting, deploying, and maintaining crucial, high-availability systems.
