Amazon Technical Program Manager III, Enterprise Engineering in Seattle, Washington

Are you a technology program manager interested in delivering high impact programs across a broad and diverse group of software engineering teams for Amazon? We have an opportunity for a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Enterprise Engineering organization. We are looking for a TPM who is ready to improve software engineering team operations, solving hard problems at scale and ensure a great customer experience.

In Enterprise Engineering, we build the software, services, and infrastructure that enable Amazon services across the world to build and deliver for customers. We represent the intersection of technology and the need for traditional IT solutions at Amazon’s scale. Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of a technical program management team driving programs that span across all teams and organizations supporting a portfolio of over 125 software services. Your job will consist of planning and executing operational improvement outcomes. You will apply program management strategy to break complex problems into solvable solutions prioritized with partner teams. You will use mechanisms to track delivery. You will be part of a team which works to continuously improve productivity and collaboration with other Amazon IT organizations, with visibility to senior Amazon leaders. You will be part of a growing, fast paced, and innovative team with a focus on leveraging LLM/AI technologies to solve problems. You will have ownership, not just responsibility; and you will define and execute processes to deliver results.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

  • Excels in ambiguous situations – demonstrates ownership, identifies and collects the right data, analyzes trade-offs, proposes a path forward, builds consensus, and drives outcomes

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile and Scrum concepts and best practices

  • Experience solving problems through data analysis and working with large data sets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
