New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Karman line - the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space. This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of diverse technicians, you will be working directly with flight hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of reaching the goal of millions of people living and working in space. You will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and supporting testing of hardware for various spaceflight systems. This includes supporting production and development related activities that directly affect rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation provided Shifts available: C Shift 5 AM- 5:30PM Fri, Sat and Sun Qualifications: 5+ years' experience in aerospace or related fields Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate differing opinions in a collaborative environment without conflict among other team members Ability to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment and the capability to drill and prepare close tolerance holes for fastener installation is required A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.. Desired: 10+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware Experience with 3-D Measurement Tools, such as Faro Arms, Laser Trackers and Verisurf software Blueprint reading experience Familiarity with harness routing Familiarity with propellant/hydraulic line installation and routing Knowledge in the use of 3-D CAD tools (Creo is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $36.27 - $49.73 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
