Kerry Territory Manager - Washington State/Oregon in Seattle, Washington

What will you do?

As a Territory Manager, your mission is to propel revenue and margin growth for Kerry Beverage Branded business in the assigned states. Your focus? The vibrant world of cafes, restaurants, and cafeterias. How? By creating customer plans, nurturing existing accounts, and strategically acquiring new leads throughout the entire customer journey.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Foodservice Beverage and Food Sales Representative -mixologist or barista experience would be a significant advantage- to join our Brands team, this role partners with our broker to create leads and build new relationships across the territory of Seattle, Portland, Oregon. The candidate must reside in either Washington State or Oregon.

Essential Actions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell our beverage and food products to restaurants, bars, coffee houses, cafes, hotels, and other away-from-home establishments.

  • Build and maintain a consistently strong pipeline by providing a consultative sales approach to existing and prospective clients. Align solutions to customers business needs and opportunities.

  • Identify and target key decision-makers, including beverage managers, chefs, and restaurant owners, to build and maintain relationships.

  • Oversee opportunities from initial lead to successful closure by utilizing a streamlined and efficient sales process. Input and oversee account activity, target pipeline and sales cycle using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to showcase the quality and features of our beverage offerings.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns tailored to drive incremental case growth and new product sales.

  • Provide training and support to foodservice staff on product knowledge, preparation techniques, and menu integration.

  • Use market trends, consumer insights, and regional field information to get new products placed and increase usage in current and targeted accounts.

  • Coordinate the placement and installation of equipment and ensure the accounts ongoing throughput requirements are attained.

  • Partner with our broker CORE Foodservice to create new potential leads and opportunities to grow the business in the assigned territory.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of foodservice beverage and food sales experience, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Relevant experience as a mixologist or barista, with a deep understanding of beverage preparation techniques and trends is a significant advantage.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and industry professionals.

  • Experience managing and directing the entire sales process from beginning to close. Must possess a Hunter-mentality and a strong passion to win.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and administrative abilities.

  • Must possess creative thinking skills and the ability to solve problems innovatively, thinking outside the box.

  • Collaborative team player capable of partnering with sales team, cross-functional partners, and brokers to develop and implement effective business plans.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities to foster long-term partnerships with clients.

  • Foundational knowledge of the foodservice industry, including key players, market trends, and customer preferences. Proficient in business planning and execution.

  • Ability to utilize and leverage technology. Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products.

  • Willingness to travel within the designated sales territory and attend industry events as needed.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
