Eaton Corporation Circuit Protection - Key Account Manager in Segrate, Italy

Medium voltage circuit breakers and switchgear OEMs have successfully leveraged Eaton's customer vacuum interrupter solutions to create and sustain a differentiated market position.

Eaton's Electrical Division is currently seeking a Key Account Manager for Electrical Circuit Protection, who will be based in Segrate (Milan) and who will provide professional business development of Eaton Vacuum Interrupter (related) products and maximize the sales growth of the responsible product range through defining, implementing product commercial strategies, go to market strategy, pull/push sales channels (including internal partners, distributors, agents and switchgear partners) to optimize sales/profits/market share for the product line. The responsible countries includes Italy and surrounding countries (possible of adding the responsible countries when necessary), to meet or exceed the profit plan.

What you’ll do:

  • Own sales revenue numbers and profitability target of the Vacuum Interrupter product line (according to each of the product line profit plan and BOC of the new products, both trade and intercompany numbers). Define and implement product line mid-to-long term strategies to optimize sales and profit in the responsible countries

  • Work with operation teams in Suzhou plant, Global engineering teams, Regional Sales Manager EMEA – VI, Local Sales Managers and Product Managers to define the right products for the customers, implement and maintain quick turn-around time for the customers to support overall CPCD strategy

  • Implement channel programs such as “Powered by Eaton Technology –” by looking for the right switchgear partners in the responsible region to support the overall sales revenue set for the responsible region

  • Being the first line of support for customers to answer the technical questions, strategy and channel management

  • Conduct market studies, feedback market trends and competitor movements and work with Product Managers and Regional Sales Manager to identify the best strategy for the region in the product portfolios

  • Provide critical input to Product Roadmap and R&D priorities based on Voice of Customer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, major in electrical engineering. Master is preferred.

  • minimum 7 years related experience in sales, marketing or similar role within the electrical industry in the responsible region. A strong preference of experience with manufacturers of Medium Voltage VCB’s.

Skills:

  • Broad technical knowledge and experience in short circuit protection principle, medium voltage equipment and switchgear including circuit protection, product application and markets for VI related products.

  • Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English.

  • Possesses a broad global and regional market perspective

  • Strengths in planning and strategic thinking.

  • High skill level in computer utilization and working with Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Power Bi and Power Point

  • Strong business acumen with experience of statistical skills utilized for market/competitor/industry/platform trend and data analysis.

  • Strong public speaking/presentation skills utilized in conjunction with participation in various Eaton and industry meetings
