7 Cedars Resort Retail Attendant & Barista in Sequim, Washington

{width="405" height="405"} Jamestown Java, a vibrant coffee shop located within the prestigious 7 Cedars Hotel, is seeking a highly motivated Retail Attendant & Barista to join our team for a part-time, seasonal position. The Retail Attendant and Barista is responsible for assisting with operations of Jamestown Java/Goods & Gifts. The scope of responsibility will include, but not be limited to: interacting with guests at gift shop, ringing up merchandise, operating the coffee shop, and coordinating with other departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Ring up customer sales, transactions, voids and exchanges as needed.
  • Greet guests, answer questions, be knowledgeable of product served, offer suggestions, take and serve beverage orders.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of workstation, store and displays.
  • Ensure items are fully stocked and, with proper rotation, all outdated items are pulled.
  • Must be able to operate and prepare foods/beverages using a variety of kitchen equipment including but not limited to; panini grill, convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, Hobart scale, food slicer, coffee grinder, and espresso machine.
  • Monitor and freshen retail areas on a continual basis.
  • Pro-actively assist guests in their shopping experience to encourage guest satisfaction and purchases.
  • Resolve guest conflicts and concerns while maintaining superior customer service.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all departments to meet guests needs.
  • Promote 7 Cedars Casino, Longhouse Market & Deli, Cedars at Dungeness, and other Resort/Jamestown SKlallam Tribe properties to hotel guests.
  • Understand and maintain reputation management.
  • Follow all policies and regulations.
  • Core competencies in current ADA and other regulatory expectations.
  • Uphold and lead others in following 7 Cedars Resorts mission and values.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

     

     

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) years of related retail experience, including cash handling and knowledge of deli/espresso sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with hotel teams and guests.
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with guests, clients, vendors and Resort teams.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining work processes.
  • Must be flexible with hours and days worked; mornings, nights, weekdays, weekends and Holidays
