SHIFT: 6:00pm - 6:00am, rotating DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for inspecting incoming materials; checks plates, inventories against proofs, eTickets and job jacket. Prepares plates, punches plates. Performs plate exposure: makes single exposures; multiple exposes plates, single position; makes step and repeat exposures manually; sets up and operates step and repeat machine; runs tests to determine exposure times for flats; programs automatic plate exposure equipment. Completes plate processing: sets up and operates auto plate processor; quality inspects plates; corrects minor plate defects. Instructs others in technical and mechanical operations of equipment. Instructs new hires in company procedures, filing, production records, etc. Performs routine process-related maintenance. Completes production records and files production materials. Cleans up and keeps work area neat and orderly. Performs other duties as requested. Works overtime when needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent reaching, bending and stooping Ability to visually inspect all work for defects Frequent standing SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up. Knowledge of exposure processing. Demonstrate positive safety attitude. Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions. Must be quality conscious, detail oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and a team player. Must possess excellent organization and communication skills. Vocational/technical degree and/or equivalent experience. The national pay range for this role is $22.00 - $32.00/hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
