Boehringer Ingelheim Asset Lead - PDE4Bi in Shanghai, China

The Asset Lead is the primary point person for the new product(s) and new indicator(s) launch in China Market. This role leads development of overall launch strategy and planning from PoCP to Launch and milestone delivery to ensure aligned strategies across Medical, Market Access and Marketing.

Accountabilities

• Asset Lead has to provide direction, set the ambition and lead a cross-functional team of matrix leaders delivering on ambitious but feasible strategy for an assigned asset and interacting with global asset team also highest cross-functional decision committees

• In co-operation with a broader group of internal and external stakeholders creates scientific and commercial value of the Asset, ensuring it can address clinical unmet needs and improve current standard of care

• Accountable for Asset budget and development timelines, implementation of risk mitigation plan and identification of new opportunities for an Asset

• Single point of accountability (externally and internally) for the consolidated Asset strategy and the seamless execution of asset deliverables milestones and decisions for each asset ensuring the assets are managed in a cost-effective manner with appropriate resources

• Setup of local asset development strategy in alignment with the TA Asset Development Strategy, priorities and the overall portfolio and act as the contact of global Asset Lead

• Serves as architect and coach to Asset Team, strives to build a highly motivated, cohesive and empowered Asset Team promoting a culture of innovation and ability to accelerate transformative therapies

• Collaborates with other ALs and Project Excellence CoE to ensure consistency of processes across Asset Teams

Required Capabilities

• Accomplished industry professional with comprehensive experience of all phases of drug development and commercialization

• Strong commercial background focusing on Sales and Marketing experience with extended clinical knowledge and strong business acumen

• Solid leadership experience with strong growth mind-set and passion to build a team with culture of high performance, challenge the status quo, create opportunities, solve problems and successfully drive complex projects

• Several years of experience in end-to-end leadership of a cross-functional team to deliver successful clinical development program or commercialization or a complex development project with substantial budget

• Ability to inspire, empower and steer asset teams participants

• Confident in driving decisions and prioritizing in ambiguous environment and to empower others being ready to take decisions within their respective responsibilities, ensuring all perspectives are heard and promoting a speak up culture

• Portfolio mindset and talent to translate assets and strategies into feasible outcomes

• Excellent networking & communication ability within local, global & external environment

• Extensive competence in conflict management
