Group/Division Summary:

China BI Team, within Finance Group, is a team providing end-to-end data solutions to our internal customers, including Reporting&Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering applications.

Position Summary:

BI & Data Science Manager servers as a key contact point to our business users in China, providing data analytics & data science solution to facilitate China business boost. This role will also be engaged in company wise project to provide insight and data-driven/ AI-driven design. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify and implement operational improvement opportunities and develop a strong BI team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal customers across multiple teams, collecting requirements and delivering end to end solutions

  • Work with global and regional Shared Services team to identify new BI capabilities and projects

  • Conduct deep dive investigations into operations execution and business problems, find opportunities, and lead or support implementation

  • Working independently, or with functional analysts, to build reports, data sets and mechanisms to provide access to business data

  • solutions, including investigation of data issues, data validation, scalability, balancing and row level security implementation

  • Create and deliver standards on defining, crafting, and documenting reference data visualization architecture including PBI, ECharts or other data visualization framework.

  • Identify and provide input to new technology opportunities, including LLM, Machine Learning, NLP that will have a positive impact on improving the data cleansing and data validation process.

  • Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting

Qualifications:

  • Major in Computer Science, Statistics or related majors.

  • Proficient in SQL, Power BI, Python; experience in AI, ML, Data Science would be preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking, logical thinking and problem-solving, with excellent discernment to identify business opportunities and solutions to business issues.

  • Good interpersonal ability across different function teams & departments, attaining endorsement and support on team.

  • Passion for new technology to change the status quo.

  • Proven team mentality with collaborative demeanour.
