About you and this role

Dow is offering a challenging opportunity forDigital Commerce Developerwith working locations inShanghai Dow Center, China.

The Digital Commerce Developer designs, develops and supports a portfolio of solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. In this role, you’ll use your passion for and experience with software engineering to help us continue our #DigitalDow journey and continue to transform the way our customers do business with us. You’ll join a Scrum team responsible for analyzing, designing, building, testing, and releasing new digital commerce features daily. You’ll be participating in programming, code reviews, design sessions, architecture discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable Java applications and systems.

• Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas.

• Closely collaborate with business process teams, technical teams, UI designers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.

• Participate in requirement analysis, architecture design, coding, unit testing, and integration testing throughout the development lifecycle.

• Helps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.

• End-to-End Integration - assist with end-to-end process optimization, integration and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

• 3+ years of Java enterprise application development experience, familiar with the Java SE/EE technology stack.

• Proficient in Java core knowledge, including syntax, collections, multithreading, I/O, etc.

• Familiar with common Java development frameworks, such as Spring, Hibernate/MyBatis, Maven, etc.

• Understand design patterns and software architecture principles.

• Possess good coding habits and ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and continuous integration methodologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment.

• Passionate in technology and motivated to continuously learn new skills.

Preferred Skills

• Modern Web/Application Design (UI/UX) – Vue, Element Plus, Typescript

• Good understanding of modern design patterns and testing approaches, including unit test, automation test, and integrated and performance testing principles and frameworks.

• Experience and/or interest in Content Management, Product Information Management and B2B ecommerce; Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or SAP (Hybris) Commerce a plus.

• Agile/Scrum knowledge is beneficial.
