Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and mentorship to the APAC indirect sourcing team on various legal matters related to procurement, contracts, and vendor management.

• Review and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support the team in resolving legal issues and mitigating risks.

• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure legal requirements are met throughout the sourcing process.

• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to indirect sourcing activities in APAC region.

• Provide legal support to the Hong Kong business operations, including but not limited to contract review, legal advice and risk assessment

• Conduct legal training sessions for internal collaborators to enhance their understanding of legal requirements and standard processes.

• Negotiating & collaborating with external parties to represent and protect company’s best interests.

• Managing claims, disputes, mediations, litigation and arbitrations if assigned to.

• Assessing legal risks and reporting and/or advancing the same to Legal Director.

• Working together with Compliance, Finance, HR, Trade Compliance and Regulatory teams to ensure legal advices are available and properly provided to relevant collaborators.

• Advising Legal Director of significant project developments /matters in a timely manner.

Minimum Experience and Skills Required

• PRC LLB is required (preferred with a reputable China university), while overseas legal education background is a plus.

• PRC Legal Professional Qualification Certificate. Admission to the Australian Bar is preferred

• 3-5 years of working experiences.

• High integrity and compliance

• Good command of English
