Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.
What your background should look like:
Responsibility:
- Marketing Sensing & Strategy Development
Research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends and competitor landscape.
Co-work with global team to investigate the market and product strategy.
Provide go to market strategy backup material
Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirement and market trend
Manage the product lifecycle
- Develop Business Plan
Work cross functionally to achieve sales, technology and operation goals along with financial goals.
Implement pricing policy as defined by lead PM(s)
Assist in the development of the annual operating plan
- Execution -- New Product Development & Launch
Create new projects for platform product and collaborate with project management team to launch the product on time.
Provide product information and samples to customers and sales team in support of new product launches
Gather product specification and product attribute information for the development of marketing promotion.
Provide product demand FCST input to the S&OP process
Promote new products to market with sales team
- Execution – Post Launch Product Management
Perform pricing, cost and margin analysis
Develop the sales FCST and check product capacity plan
Provide product information to customers, the sales team, customer service, field application engineering, etc.
Responding to requests for proposals and samples
Analyze excess and obsolete inventory
- Management/Talent – Global team management
Talent development with Target definition and Goal & Opportunity tracking
Global team management with cross time communication and team collaboration
Generate and promote product strategy by regions and collaborate with regional PM
Regular P&L analyze and action taking with CBC3 team members
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in technical, Engineering or related field
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Project Management/Product Management Background are preferred
At least 8 -10 years of working experience in application engineering, project manager or engineering. Relevant product or industry experience desire
Operational experience with electronics manufacturing / manufacturing engineering preferable
Demonstrated excellent communicator (verbal, written, spoken) with exceptional listening skills
Good command of English.
Flexibility in working days and regional travel are required.
