Sr Project Engineer

Location: Shanghai, China

Opportunity

1. Work with Marketing and other departments to develop electrical sub-system requirements for new product development projects.Document these requirements appropriately.

2. Develop electrical sub-system including product control systems, wireless communication modules, remote and embedded firmware for Kitchen and bathroom smart products such as whirlpool bathtubs, water filtration products, digital shower and faucet and sensor products.

3. Develop and work with 3rd party suppliers to design and manufacture some of the electrical sub-systems.

4. Start from product requirement, use scenarios and DFMEA to initiate test and qualification plans to qualify the sub suystem for production.

5.To practise design for manufacturing and conduct manufacturing FMEA to ensure the manufacturing quality.

6. To initiate the firmware test plan to qualify the firmware.

7. To support Compliance test and certification. Such as UL, FCC, CE, CCC and etc.

8. Work with suppliers to identify the potential of new technology to be applied to our products and categories. Follow the proof of concept process to test the application boundary of the technology.

Skills/Requirements

1. B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related majors.

2. Good understanding of electrical hardware design on control system, user interface system, radio communication (Blue tooth, WIFI, Zigbee & etc.).

3. Well understanding of electrical engineering design rules. Hands on electrical subsystem design.

4. Understanding of good software design and documentation, practices and hands on firmware coding.

5. Good organizational capability. High attention to details. Ability to work on multiple tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.

6. Be able to manage suppliers in ODM and OEM cases.

7. 7 years plus experience on electrical system and module design.
