About Aon Captive & Insurance Managers (ACIM)
ACIM is an integral part of Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC), which is the risk consulting business for Aon. ACIM specialises in alternative risk transfer, risk finance and the formation & management of captive insurance companies. ACIM’s 550 captive insurance management professionals manage over 1,300 captive insurance companies across 39 domiciles worldwide, representing more than 20% of the market. What the day will look like
As a Financial Accountant, you will work as part of the Aon Captive Management team to deliver top quality service to our client captive insurance and reinsurance companies.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial reporting needs of a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance companies. Your responsibilities will include:
The production of monthly & quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts together with all ancillary reports to tight reporting deadlines
Developing & maintaining strong internal & external relationships and understanding the client context for the portfolio you work on
The proper maintenance of financial records
Communication and liaison with clients, auditors, financial institutions and other team members to ensure the highest degree of client satisfaction
Processing insurance information including claims and premium
Preparation of various insurance reports and reconciliations
Preparation of VAT and Insurance related returns
Various daily and monthly administration duties
Supporting group wide projects where the need arises
Inter office travel may be required for client meetings and participation in collaboration projects

Skills and experience that will lead to success
The main skills the Financial Accountant will have, are listed below:
You are a fully qualified accounting professional with two or more years PQE. You have previous experience in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
Ideally, but not essentially, you have insurance industry experience
You are fluent in English with excellent communication skills (foreign language skills an advantage)
You can work to tight reporting deadlines and using your own initiative
You have a high degree of computer literacy and skills including an extensive working knowledge of Excel
You have a track record of delivering business results with excellence and a willingness to travel internationally
