*Summary/Objective * The position of NC Programmer is responsible for the creating and developing programs for CNC machines.
Essential Functions
- Creates and develops tooling programs for CNC machines using Work NC
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Competencies
- Good Mechnical Aptitude
- Working knowledge of Windows and Network file transfer.
- Organization Skills
- Understands Mechanical properties associated with CNC cutting machines
- Proficient with CATIA Fixed Axis milling and Molds and Dies software
- Understands Surface Development of materials
Working knowledge of shop practices and good communication skills
Supervisory Responsibility
None
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Room lighting is typically low.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, use of computer monitor, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours will be based on projects, but typical start time is 6:00 a.m.

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- College degree or some college preferred.
- Industry experience including experience preferable as a CNC Operator
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Work NC experience
