Summary

The Commercial Specialist is responsible for leading the negotiation, execution and life-cycle management of high-value, highly complex civil and military contracts for a manufacturing business in the aerospace supply chain.

This is a key position within the Polymer Seals and UK Composites division (having annual revenues of in excess of USD $200180M) of a large multi-Billion Dollar matrix corporation. Reporting to the Divisional Contracts Manager, we are looking for a strong, tenacious, and organised individual capable of working autonomously or as part of a wider global commercial team, based at one of our facilities in Loughborough, UK.

Responsibilities

· Negotiate (bids, sales etc).

· Compliance.

· Contract Management.

· Functional Improvement (Tools & Processes).

Qualifications

· Experience of negotiating high-value, highly complex commercial agreements is essential.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high levels of accuracy.

· Able to work within defined compliance and governance structures to gain approvals for contracts.

· Working knowledge of Trade/export compliance regulations.

· Experience of UK and/or US Government contracting regulations (DEFCONS, FAR and DFAR) is preferred.

· Good financial acumen and understanding of deal-structuring.

· Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage a range of stakeholders.

· Drive and appetite to improve policies, processes and increase profitability of allocated contracts.

· Able to work independently or as part of a wider global team and prioritise duties in order to meet deadlines.

· Strong IT skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
