V2X is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager (CM) to support a U.S. Department of Defense client. The CM will be responsible for maintaining the overall Configuration Management processes and baselines for hardware and software product builds, staging, testing, integration, and operations required by the Program.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with operations and maintenance teams to create and maintain configuration baselines supporting operational networks.

  • Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Develop and modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the operational system.

  • Plan, identify, and maintain the original and current configuration baseline of hardware, software, and documentation.

  • Implement CM disciplines for the product life cycles of hardware, software, and network systems from initial requirement and capability to end-of-life.

  • Execute change and release control, and perform configuration audits and reporting.

  • Use and recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.

  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.

  • Maintain configuration data security, quality, and integrity.

  • Provide cross-team support for changes resulting from projects, operations and maintenance, incidents, and problems.

  • Organizes and implements processes for tracking trends, shortfalls, and surpluses for evaluating functions against established policies and procedures.

  • Makes recommendations on improvements, auditing, and reporting to ensure hardware, software, and documentation integrity is maintained throughout product and system lifecycles.

  • Identify, organize, and control software and/or hardware configuration changes.

  • Identify and coordinate processes for version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management in order to ensure the accreditation, integration and production support of Program.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.

  • 12 years of relevant technical experience with a Bachelor's degree; 10 years of relevant technical experience with a Master's degree.

    Clearance Requirement:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Security Clearance.

  • Active TS-SCI Clearance is preferred and will be required for this role. Candidates with Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility may also be considered.

    Experience / Skills:

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in processing version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management in order to ensure the accreditation, integration and production support in a classified environments.

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in identifying, organizing, and controlling software and/or hardware configuration changes.
