A Typical Day for a Director of Nursing with Illini Restorative Care

• Oversee and manage the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to all residents.

• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Lead and mentor the nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth and development.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute individualized care plans for residents, addressing their unique needs.

• Monitor and analyze clinical outcomes, implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction.

• Manage the nursing budget, including staffing, supplies, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective resource utilization.

• Communicate regularly with residents, families, and staff to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure a supportive and compassionate care environment.
