Job Description
Takeda's Singapore biologics manufacturing facility focuses on manufacturing potentially life-saving medicines for patients suffering from rare blood disorders such as Hemophilia A and B. As part of the company’s Biologics Operating Unit network, the site is Takeda’s only biologics drug substance manufacturing facility in Asia. The facility has two buildings, including manufacturing suites and laboratories, as well as Takeda’s first positive energy building certified by Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark scheme in 2022.
Job Title: AGILE Lead (Operation Excellence)

About the role:
AGILE is the name of Takeda’s expanded Operational Excellence Identity. Its aim to Advance GMSGQ (Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain) to become an even more patient focused, Innovative, Lean and highly Efficient organization.
The AGILE Lead will be a key member of the Takeda Singapore Business Excellence Team in managing the Singapore AGILE team in the deployment and progression of the AGILE program at the site. Takeda’s global AGILE program and its workstreams leverage off Industry 4.0 and offers an exciting opportunity to harmonize traditional lean tools and concepts with those of the digital age.
As a member of the Business Excellence team, lead the AGILE team comprised of AGILE OE Coaches and AGILE Champions.
Responsible for the development of the site AGILE roadmap with the Business Excellence Lead in close collaboration with QS&I.
Lead AGILE Waves at site.
Collaborate across the Takeda network to adopt and share best practices.
Be a champion of change at site/function.
How you will contribute:
A. Lead site AGILE program
Lead implementation of AGILE waves at site.
Build AGILE capabilities within team and monitor progress of AGILE Champions towards certification.
Provide technical coaching and support for the AGILE team.
Select new AGILE Champions to fill new vacancies within the team.
Support BE Lead in building strong engagement of SLT and all site colleagues with the AGILE program through site bootcamps/workshops/coaching initiatives.
Actively participate in global AGILE program coordinated by the AGILE PMO.
Collaborate with the Technical training and PMO teams to provide an aligned AGILE support to site
Deliver the AGILE site roadmap through a series of waves, developing local capabilities at site through each deployment.
Develop own capabilities in AGILE to provide appropriate guidance to local team.
B. Collaboration
- Lead site AGILE team to be active contributors and adopters within best practice network.
C. Site AGILE roadmap
Maintain balanced site roadmap detailing AGILE activities which will be executed in the fiscal year.
Ensure all AGILE workstreams are considered when creating roadmap and cross workstream synergies are highlighted.
Ensure roadmap is aligned with GMS/GQ strategy and OpU/Regional strategy.
Ensure all AGILE Champions and AGILE OE Coaches receive challenging assignments linked to their development within the AGILE wave deployments.
D. Coaching
Create appropriate AGILE capabilities at site to deliver the AGILE roadmap utilizing the support from AGILE workstream as necessary.
Coach AGILE concepts and mindsets and behaviors across the organization, including Senior Leadership
Coach the AGILE coaches to develop technical and soft skill competencies within the team.
E. Others
Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.

What you bring to Takeda:
Education and Experience Requirements:
Degree in Sciences / Engineering related.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Quality, Supply Chain or Operations environment required including people leadership experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in bio/pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or life sciences industry is desired.
Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Six Sigma Black Belt certification desirable.
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
Knowledge of Bio-pharmaceutical operations
Strong Operational Excellence/Digital and Project Management capabilities
Solid knowledge of Bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, manufacturing operations, cGMPs, global regulatory or product development required.
Excellent coaching experience
Proven record of delivery of results and colleague development.
Leadership
Excellent communication abilities
Drives change and supports others in the change management process.
Experienced people manager
Strong influencing skills

Delivers AGILE roadmap for site.
As a member of the BE team, communicates business decisions to AGILE team.
