AON Head of Claims in Singapore, Singapore

Aon is currently recruiting a Head of Claims - Singapore, who will report to the Asia Chief Claims Officer, and Singapore Chief Broking Officer respectively.

What the day will look like

  • Large/contentious/technical Claims processing and negotiations with clients, insurers and reinsurers, adjusters, and technical consultants

  • Providing timely management reports on Singapore large claims

  • Working with Singapore Growth leaders to drive the Claims Advocacy model and realize commercial opportunities where possible

  • Ensuring that the Large Claims Report is always updated

  • Any additional duties that may be allocated to you by the Company from time to time.

  • Represent Singapore as a member of Asia Claims Leadership Team

  • Represent claims as a member of Singapore Commercial Risk Leadership Team

  • Supporting key client relationships with a focus on client governance and claims advocacy and all related service undertakings

  • Specific oversight of claims services for, and opportunities with, SAM / Enterprise Clients based in Singapore and all complex and/or contentious client claims

  • Delivering excellent technical advice and claims services to both external and internal clients

  • Manage the talent agenda for claims within Singapore, including career development, develop highly skilled employees within the CRS claims team, performance assessment, succession planning and recruitment

  • Contribute to claims innovation and service model enhancement, including through leverage of ABS

  • Contribute to new business and growth by articulating the value and differentiation of Aon’s claims approach and results, and by sponsorship of pricing and client service agreement strategies

  • Engage as a point of senior level escalation to the benefit of clients on specific complex claims and / or portfolio performance issues with carriers, third party administrators and others

  • Ensure engagement with Commercial Risk claims leaders in other geographies and business units to being the full benefit of Aon’s claims team to clients

  • Actively engage in claims related carrier management activity and fully lead Singapore engagement in adjuster, law firm and other vendor relationship management

  • Sponsorship of all relevant elements of the firm’s claims infrastructure, including global platform / claims resolution platform

  • Involvement in Risk Committee activities to assist in the mitigation of risk to the firm, specifically providing lessons learned and related to insights to inform stakeholders of the need for improvement and / or clarification in working processes, policy wordings etc.

  • Representation of Aon as a claims leader in the industry through Committee, Advisory Board and other memberships, and through speaking / publication engagements

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Extensive 12-15 years of technical expertise in General Insurance (Property & Casualty) .

  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years of experience in team management.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration within a team and effective negotiation.

  • Strong team player, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment.

  • Fluency in English is required.
