Join our growing team of Software Engineers & Business Systems Analysts working with the best and brightest in financial services developing TD's Credit Risk and 'x' Valuation Adjustment (xVA) system (e.g. adjustments for Credit, Funding, Capital, etc.). We are looking for a Business Systems Specialist to join our agile and highly talented development team.

We are looking for someone to plan, manage, and lead the delivery of detailed system requirements and technical and functional specifications that align to standards and frameworks. You will provide technical leadership and work in close partnership with ambitious business and technology partners, project teams and stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed functional specifications and testing.

  • Manage the implementation and support of FO risk, P&L & capital measures across financial derivative products from all trading platforms using advanced financial modeling and reporting tools.

  • Lead the delivery of projects (e.g. xVA/CCR system replacement, IBOR, SIMM & MVA, physical collateral) and enhancements for a wide range of clients and products in a fast paced, agile, dynamic and constantly evolving environment.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders at all levels to understand and execute against business priorities while ensuring a high-level of service to end users.

  • Define, document and translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and use cases.

  • Work closely with technology partners (e.g. Solution Designers and Architects) to develop effective and efficient solutions by researching and analyzing data and requirements, defining opportunities for business process improvements and making recommendations.

  • Perform testing according to test plans, monitor and report on results, and walk stakeholders through test results when necessary.

  • Provide second and third level support on production issues and business inquiries.

  • Contribute to project management activities such as: scoping and estimating project efforts, identifying risks and recommending mitigation measures, communicating activity status, as well as escalating and communicating possible issues.

  • Participate in quality management reviews, including designs, prototypes and other requirements work products.

  • Implement vendor functionality, investigate issue/exception, and test bug fix and enhancement, by closely working with vendor and interpreting documentation.

  • Deliver effective and efficient solutions by prioritizing tasks and ensuring project deliverables are implemented within time and budget.

  • Coach new or less experienced colleagues and serve as a reference point throughout requirements management life cycle.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in business requirement gathering, analysis, business process modeling and documentation within the financial and/or IT industry

  • Experience with OTC Derivatives pricing, P&L reporting & attribution, xVA and risk, and CCR & CVA capital is strongly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and data mining skills

  • Ability to create exceptional requirement specifications

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing including designing tests, develop detailed test cases and test plans, documenting and sharing results

  • Strong attention to detail with good organization skills

  • Experience within Capital Markets and strong understanding of the financial markets and credit risk is an asset

  • Experience with building a large distributed real-time risk/PnL system for front-office is an asset

  • University degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field

  • Industry certification (e.g. CFA, FRM) preferred but not required

  • Experience with working on a trading floor / fast paced environment and being able to multitask

  • Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, background in any programming language will be an advantage

  • Strong sense of ownership and customer focus

  • Strong skills with MS Office products and Visio

  • Ability to analyze complex issues from multiple perspectives and provide strategic recommendations

  • Expert knowledge of system analysis process and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows and business rules

  • Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant, as well as contributor to potential project assessments and ability to work independently

  • Experience working with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)

  • Experience with REST APIs
