Team Overview:

Bloomberg Index Services Limited (BISL) Fixed Income Index Production Team manages the daily production responsibilities needed for all Bloomberg Fixed Income Indices. The primary goal of the team is to generate timely and accurate index data used by various clients to manage their passive and active fixed income assets. Clients include Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, Broker Dealers, Pension Funds, Endowments, etc. Index Production Analysts play a critical role in maintaining Bloomberg’s position as a world-class global index provider. They are expected to leverage their knowledge in operations, finance, and technology to manage the daily calculation, quality control and dissemination of the index products and support the stability and growth the index business.

We'll trust you to:

  • Manage a team of individuals responsible for the daily production processes for the acquisition and quality control of all datasets used to determine index inclusion/exclusion and aggregation including terms and conditions, weights, market data, forex, curves, prices, analytics, returns

  • Play a “hands on” role when necessary to help the team meet its daily deliverables

  • Demonstrate strong domain knowledge, specifically in APAC fixed income markets

  • Coordinate and establish feedback loops with regional teams, stakeholders and partners to ensure timely and accurate data deliverables to clients

  • Manage client escalations to minimize dissatisfaction and disruption

  • Collaborate globally with internal stakeholders, such as Product, Sales, and Engineering, to help ensure BISL is meeting the needs of its clients

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and standard processes to be able to proactively spot opportunities for improvement

  • Mentor direct reports to help ensure adequate growth and development for success within role

You’ll need to have:

  • Minimum 3 years of direct or indirect leadership experience (for example leading projects, mentoring people, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience in data management principles and technologies such as data modeling, data analysis, statistics, or data integration

  • 3-6 years of demonstrated work experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in relevant Economics, a quantitative social science, finance, STEM, or related field, or degree-equivalent qualifications

  • Experience with fixed income and its use within indices and/or portfolio management and implementing a product strategy which delivers on that vision

  • Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Creative and flexible approach to problem solving and a strong solution-seeking posture, aided by strong data analysis skills.

  • Experience driving strategies, managing complex projects, and leadership ability in change management or influencing others

  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English, allowing you to clearly communicate business needs and to advocate on behalf of your team as well as communicate business and operational strategy to your team
