ASM Global Custodian/Housekeeper in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in designated areas at all times.

  • Clean and sanitize work areas to include floors, walls, glass doors, panels, restrooms, etc.

  • Ensure proper storage of cleaning supplies in accordance with safety regulations and facility guidelines.

  • Empty trash receptacles in assigned areas.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations, including chemical handling.

  • Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.

  • Use various mechanical equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, high speed buffers, carpet cleaners, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various cleaning compounds necessary to the position.

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand for long periods; able to walk up and down steep stairs. Reasonable accommodation will be considered for those with disabilities.

  • Must pass a background check.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Subject to constant standing, walking, and stooping.

  • Ability to climb stairs.

  • Daily lifting and/or carrying up to 30lbs for up to 5 minutes at a time.

  • Ability to stand for 6 - 10 hours.
