Inpatient Pharmacy:

Pharmacy Technician Supervisor
Highlights:

Work in various environments which include: Medication distribution to clinics, and critical access hospitals, repackaging medications into unit dose forms.

Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician-in-Training assists in drug preparation, storage, distribution, and inventory management within a variety of pharmacy environments.
Avera Health’s Pharmacy Technician Education Program consists of 400 hours of combined didactic, simulation, and experiential learning activities.
Avera Health requires a two-year employment commitment upon completion of the Pharmacy Technician Education Program.
This entry-level position participates in and completes Avera Health’s Pharmacy Technician Education in order to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Upon completion of the education program and successful Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination, the technician-in-training will be promoted into the role of Pharmacy Technician.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- Registration with the state Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days of employment.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 
- $18.00 - $24.50 per hour
