Junior Accountant

What you would do as our Junior accountant:

You would play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations. You would work within our finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards, and the overall success of our financial operations with the support of the accounting team.

You would also:

  • Be responsible for accounts receivable, including manual invoicing, weekly reporting, monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable, and bad & doubtful debt, as well as calling customers when necessary to keep days sales outstanding as low as possible.

  • Maintain and update customer master data, ensuring high quality and registering electronic invoices online.

  • Assist the accounting team with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or anomalies.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Be a team player who is curious, asks relevant questions, seeks solutions to issues, and can step into other tasks within the team when necessary.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

    The skills and experience you need:

    We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a newly graduated bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or holds an AAT/CAT qualification, or is part-qualified in bookkeeping if no degree.

  • Possesses professional fluency in both Norwegian and English.

  • Demonstrates strong Excel knowledge and a basic understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

  • Exhibits good communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Shows attention to detail, flexibility, and is a motivated team player.

  • Enjoys problem-solving and follows investigations through to completion.

    Ideally, you would also have experience using SAP.
