Who We Are Looking For:

Stanley Black & Decker is transforming its operations with a Lean-Led Data Driven Tech Enabled approach. As a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer, you will be directly involved in the development and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies, empowering the enterprise CMMS tool and drive technology adoption and standards within the maintenance and reliability framework. You will solve challenges of strategic importance to the company and will maintain smooth deployment and supporting operations. This role is a 24-month fixed term position, working remotely with the potential for full time hire . You will be laser focused on internal customer service, plant and operations success using digital tools. This role is also responsible for identifying and training plant level users on the CMMS tools; related to preventative maintenance programs, predictive maintenance programs, project requests, and inspections. Job responsibilities include supporting functions and are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Measure and publish facilities metrics to the management team; interpret data, troubleshoot process, and make recommendations based on findings

  • Developing and improving the Asset Strategies Library as the central repository for maintenance tactics for production and facilities assets in SBD

  • The collection, conversion and /or importation of maintenance tactics from legacy systems into the new CMMS

  • Adding PM plans, schedules, and work packages to plant and facilities assets.

  • Defining scheduled due dates

  • Support management in the review of WO data accuracy

  • Training and Implementation support of a structured maintenance work process

  • Contribute to the development of CI Tools such as Equipment Criticality Analysis, and FMEA

  • Form partnerships with CMMS provider and other 3rd parties to help incorporate benchmarks and best practices into our standards and training programs

  • Act as a champion and form intercompany teams for 1 or more predictive specialties such as Machinery Lubrication, Vibration Analysis, or Infrared Imaging

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or exceptional work experience in a manufacturing setting as a Maintenance or Reliability Engineer

  • 5 years or more maintenance related work history

  • CMRP certification highly desirable.

  • Experience working with operations, maintenance, finance and HR teams

  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to get results through formal channels and informal networking within a Global matrixed organization

  • Experience implementing best in class maintenance strategies (e.g. TPM, RCM, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance)

  • Ability to travel 30%
