Based at Smithtown Factory, we’re currently seeking a Production Co-ordinator to provide invaluable support to the Production team. This role will support production administrative services and work closely with production line managers.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Production Manager, key responsibilities include:
Support the production team to excel in achieving line standards associated with production runs and the standard conditions & routines associated with Safety & the 4M's (Man, Machine, Method, Material).
Support continuous line Controls & immediate corrective action (initiating problem solving as applicable).
Promote a "zero injury, defect, waste" mindset & behaviours that have a positive impact on Safety Health Environment & Quality.
Promote and support risk awareness by engaging and coaching individuals and teams.
Support implementation of SH&E and QA objectives, practices and procedures.
Participate in planned performance improvements (eg reliability, loss, complaints & risk) using TPM methodologies.
Support the management of team skill matrices to ensure skill coverage within the team to meet business needs.
Manage Kronos payroll system
Coordinate rework management process.
Build & maintain effective working relationships with production team & support departments.
What will make you successful
You are a strong team player and are able to work collaboratively within a team to achieve required targets and objectives.
2+ years previous experience relevant to this role
You have experience in an administration role and are adept in Microsoft Office suite. SAP experience preferred.
Knowledge of Food production is desirable.
You have the ability to work with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment, delivering quality outputs with strong attention to detail and an ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and flexibility are vital.
