Electrical Estimator

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 Total Compensation

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in the Atlanta area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial projects including multi-family apartment complexes, hotels, schools, and other commercial buildings in project values up to $8-10 million. Industrial experience is a plus, or a willingness to learn industrial estimating is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of two junior estimators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors in the Atlanta metro area.

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

  • Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and methodologies to ensure competitive and accurate estimating.

  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in bid reviews and negotiations.

  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with a strong background in commercial projects.

  • Experience with multi-family, hotels, schools, and other large-scale commercial projects.

  • Familiarity with project values up to $8-10 million.

  • Connections with general contractors in the Atlanta metro area.

  • Industrial estimating experience is a bonus, but not required.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred, but not required.
