Aerotek Overhaul Technician in Snohomish, Washington

Overhaul Technician

Aerotek is seeking qualified technicians to perform specialized component repairs on commercial aircraft parts and accessory systems.

Contract position: 6 month duration.

Day shift 6AM - 4PM.

$22-25/hour - Candidates with prior direct experience can expect $25-30/hour.

DOE Entry Level Friendly - Willing to consider candidates outside the aviation industry with relevant technician experience.

Job Description:

As an Overhaul Technician, you will engage in specialized component repairs on commercial aircraft parts and accessory systems. Utilizing drawings, tools, and computer-based systems for task tracking and parts management, your responsibilities will include repairing mechanical, electrical, valve, pump, metal, and composite parts. You will gain certification on specific units as you progress and document each repair according to company and FAA regulations.

Key systems you will work on include beverage makers (coffee, espresso, water boilers), transparencies (windscreen, slider, eyebrow, air gap), lavatories (toilet, timers, drain masts/valves, faucets, water heaters, flush valves, pumps), and oxygen systems (crew masks, regulators). You will also handle galley inserts such as ovens and controllers, encountering various challenges and troubleshooting needs. This role offers ample opportunities to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair both new and legacy equipment.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of aerospace assembly or repair experience

  • Must be able to read detailed drawings in English

  • Must be able to use hand and power tools

  • Good attendance/reliability

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Ability to work in a team and cover shifts as necessary

  • Detailed-oriented

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting

  • Using computer-based task tracking and parts systems

  • Documenting repairs according to regulations

Work Environment

  • FAA certified repair station

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday 4 X 10, or Monday -Thursday 4 X 9 plus Friday 4. Hours: 0530 or 0600 start

  • While basic tools are not required initially, identifying and bringing frequently used tools like screwdrivers and ratchets within a month is encouraged. All specialized and calibrated tools are provided.

  • Lavatory shop features an ultrasonic cleaning machine, ensuring a clean and well-ventilated workspace.
