Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Senior Logistics Warehouseman-SSA, plays a vital role in receiving, checking in, and issuing materials to support construction and maintenance activities within the SSA (Supply Support Activity) Operations. This position involves warehouse layout planning, document file establishment, preparation of required documents and reports, and overall responsibility for inventories.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper planning, receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials while providing leadership to create the organizational structure necessary for service execution.

  • Evaluate service execution for compliance with contracts, schedules, cost budgets, and quality, and provide essential guidance to the team regarding status, issues, impacts, risks, and cost influences.

  • Control project-furnished items.

  • Plan warehouse layouts.

  • Prepare necessary documents and reports.

  • Inform the team of updates to safety rules and procedures.

  • Process items through the GCSS-A system and adhere to shelf-life program practices.

  • Possess or obtain hazard certifications: HAZ 12 & HAZ 15.

  • Possess or obtain Technical transportation of hazardous material and European Hazardous material certification.

  • Ensure hazardous materials shipped out have a hazardous certification document signed.

  • Be a team player and provide strong customer service.

  • Ensure compliance with Army regulations, SOPs, and military doctrine related to SSA Operations.

  • Provide expert guidance on logistics matters, including compliance with regulations, transportation methods, and inventory management.

  • Adhere to safety procedures and policies.

  • Maintain databases and files in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder.

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.

  • Must be proficient in the use of the GCSS-A system, especially transaction codes related to Receipt and Issue/Storage processes.

  • Must be proficient in running a storage section in an SSA utilizing GCSS-A.

  • Requires the ability to multitask and work with little or no supervision.

  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, and carrying.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Previous experience in a senior warehouseman or supervisory role.

  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management.

  • Experience working in diverse and challenging environments.

  • Familiarity with international trade compliance and regulations.

  • Ability to lead and mentor junior logistics professionals.
