LCV EUCOM Bulgaria: Specialist, Logistics Support - Contingency

Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Logistics Support Specialist-SSA is responsible for receiving, checking in, and issuing materials in support of construction and maintenance activities within the SSA (Supply Support Activity) Operations. This role includes preparing necessary documents and reports, maintaining inventories, and ensuring the proper planning, receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Receive, check in, and issue materials for construction and maintenance activities.

• Maintain inventories and complete records.

• Prepare necessary documents and reports.

• Ensure proper receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials.

• Control project-furnished items.

• Process items through the GCSS-A system and adhere to shelf-life program practices.

• Obtain Technical transportation of hazardous material and European Hazardous material certification.

• Ensure hazardous materials shipped out have a hazardous certification document signed.

• Be a team player and provide strong customer service.

• Ensure compliance with Army regulations, SOPs, and military doctrine related to SSA Operations.

• Adhere to safety procedures and policies.

• Maintain databases and files in accordance with established guidelines.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder.

• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI.

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related logistics/warehouse experience.

• Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

• Requires experience in computer database management (Excel, Access).

• Requires proficiency in utilizing office equipment.

• Must understand and remain compliant with various military regulations, directives, and SOPs.

• Requires proficiency in creating Radio Frequency Identification Tags (RFID tags).

• Must be a quick learner.

• Requires the ability to multitask and work with little or no supervision.

• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, and carrying.

• Must be a quick learner.

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

• Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

• SSA experience.
