Manufacturing company located in the Philadelphia Suburbs is looking to hire a Cost Accountant with strong analytical skills. The Cost Accounting Manager will develop cost standards for materials and labor, analyze cost expenditures and purchases, implement cost accounting systems, review services and goods, and manage the cost auditing process. This candidate will ensure department goals are met, cost is reduced and overall improvement of profitability.

Primary Responsibilities

· Collect and analyze operational cost data

· Maintain cost accounting procedures

· Analyze production cost

· Set standard costs of goods

· Administer cost accounting principles

· Assist with month-end cost accounting close

· Prepare estimates of costs

· Resolve cost inaccuracies

Requirements

This Cost Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Cost Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 2+ years of cost accounting experience

· Manufacturing industry experience preferred

· Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
