The center is a long-term care facility dedicated to providing compassionate, professional quality care to our residents who have a history of mental illness. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform skilled work in the repair and maintenance machinery, buildings, and equipment of the center. In this position, you will carry out tasks in several trade specialties such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. Your duties will include installing, maintain and repairing equipment including, heating systems, generators, plumbing fixtures, and other equipment used throughout the facility. You can also expect to repair doors, furniture, and other items using power tools as required. You will also maintain a working knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, practices, and safety precautions of the trades involved. Additionally, you will independently determine work methods and procedures by receiving assignments orally or through written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1;or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Necessary Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
