Fedcap Regional Director in South Portland, Maine

Families Forward, member of The Fedcap Group, is looking for an analytical, communicative, and mission-driven Regional Director to join the Leadership Team! Summary:

The Regional Director is responsible for leading, planning and executing the operations in assigned areas and ensuring that systems are running effectively, and staff have the data, tools and information needed to achieve their objectives. Tracks performance and compliance with contractual obligations to ensure targets are met and standards are followed. The Regional Director is a key member of the Fedcap Maine leadership team and provides back up to the Assistant Vice President of Operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acts as member of the Families Forward Leadership team

  • Investigates and provides follow up and mediation for program participant, stakeholder and staff concerns including addressing feedback received through participant surveys, website, social media, and other inquiries

  • Ensures wellness services are delivered according to contractual obligations for individuals served who present medical claims.Tracks performance and compliance with contractual obligations to ensure targets are met and standards are followed across all assigned program locations and services areas.

  • Establishes a high performing, data driven regional or functional team that is equally committed to the needs of individuals served and to achieving exceptional outcomes.

  • Upholds and ensures that all employees are fully informed of agency policies and expectations.

  • Runs reports in Fedcap CARES and uses data to create long term strategies for their assigned area’s success.

  • Utilizes performance data and reports to ensure region is focus on priorities and outcomes.

  • Conducts on-going case reviews and site audits to ensure compliance, quality of work and adherence to standards.

  • Acts as a key conduit of information to ensure that their workforce is up to date on policy, program, and agency changes.

  • Recognizes and escalates concerns that may compromise operations and contractual obligations.

  • Provides guidance and mentorship to team of Program Managers through regularly scheduled meetings and supervision.

  • Ensures that their sites are delivering services consistent with our contract and TANF Rules and Maine Work Verification Plan

  • Builds effective relationships with OFI, community providers and employers to assist Opportunity Centers with helping participants to address barriers.

  • Represents Fedcap and Families Forward with all stakeholders and in the community in a positive and professional manner.

  • Identifies emerging trends and needs within their region to ensure staff have the training, resources and tools needed to effectively deliver services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrable knowledge of:

  • the mission, vision and goals of Fedcap Rehabilitation Services and The Fedcap Group

and execution of relevant policies and procedures.

  • TANF rules, Maine Work Verification Plan, compliance, policy, audit, and contractual

obligations.

  • Excellent analytical skills; computer literate and highly proficient in Microsoft Office,

including Excel or another database software.

  • Strong organizational, administration, presentation, and communication skills (both

verbal and written).

  • Department policies and procedures and ability to support the program framework.

  • Problem solving skills, have creativity and resourcefulness. Bachelor’s degree or higher degree of education and/or equivalent experience.

Demonstrable ability to:

  • Build relationships while representing Families Forward’s

mission as a community advocate and leader.

  • Providing direction, oversight, and exceptional delivery of service across multiple

locations.

  • Actively seeking out learning opportunities to remain current on industry trends.

  • Identifing training needs, resources, and tools for staff development.

  • Generating reports, analyze data, and assess trends.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree of education and/or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of program management and supervisory experience, preferred.

  • Non-profit experience, preferred.

  • Demonstrated track record for building and developing community partnerships.

  • Valid driver’s license, required.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office

equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position – 40 hours per workweek.

• Hours of work and days are typically, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

• This position requires a minimum of 30% travel.

Travel and Hours

  • This position requires a minimum of 30% travel within a multi-county area of the state.
