Community Connections, Inc. Employment Aide in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts
Community Connections Inc. is in search of dedicated Employment Aides to join our Employment team in South Yarmouth. In this role you will support individuals with disabilities that are participating in employment, educational and social activities. You will partner with individuals and businesses throughout South Yarmouth and surrounding communities and aid Community Connections in their mission to provide optimal independence and enriching services to people with disabilities. We are looking for someone with a commitment to compassion, mentoring others and serving the community. WHAT YOU\'LL DO AS AN EMPLOYMENT AIDE: Develop and expand opportunities for community integration to address the pre-employment, social, and recreational interests of the individuals we serve. Assist consumers to learn job responsibilities and procedures at employment sites. Assist consumers to establish and develop positive relationships with co-workers and members of the community Communicate regularly with supervisors at employment sites regarding participant progress. Document individuals\' progress toward goal objectives and keep up-to-date case records. WHAT YOU\'LL NEED AS AN EMPLOYMENT AIDE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Bachelor\'s Degree in human service or business-related field preferred 1+ year\'s experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities Valid driver\'s license, access to a motor vehicle, and satisfactory driving record Ability to work a flexible schedule Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work independently A proven ability to work independently and a proficiency in computer and word processing skills WHO YOU ARE AS AN EMPLOYMENT AIDE: An advocate for individuals with disabilities Someone who takes joy in teaching and guiding others.
