Xylem Inventory Analyst in Southaven, Mississippi

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce inventory inaccuracies and simplify the process.

  • Monitor and analyze inaccurate inventory balances, identify root cause and drive corrective action.

  • Perform inventory data analysis to optimize stock levels and warehouse utilization.

  • Administer Cycle Count program and Physical Inventory activities. Track and analyze data to identify trends, root cause, and implement/oversee corrective action.

  • Supervise cycle count personnel, provide training, and coordinate distribution of workload.

  • Track raw material, finished goods, and E&O inventories. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements and cost savings opportunities. Report on Inventory activities and variances.

  • Working with operations, drive improvement in FIFO and reduction in E&O. Coordinate expired stock and damaged stock process.

  • Oversee transaction and return of nonconforming material.

  • Provide reports and results of data analysis to senior management.

  • Other duties and Projects as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in an environment focused on continuous improvement & teamwork as it relates to inventory.

  • Assist in training employees, raising awareness of inventory practices and the importance of accuracy.

  • Supervise indirect hourly personnel. Maintain high morale and good working relationship.

  • Promote safety awareness and culture. Work with safety department to ensure safe handling of all material.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in inventory control, materials, and/or supply chain in a fast-paced distribution environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python programming language.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Problem solving skills: must have the ability to anticipate problems and proactively eliminate them or analyze and implement solutions.

  • Ability to work under pressure and still maintain ideal disposition towards work.

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
