Position Title: Project Engineer II
Position Duties: Perform all product engineering tasks required to win new business acquisitions for the thermal system of automobiles, including internal combustion engine (ICE) and electromotive (xEV) vehicles. Develop projects that meet customers' requirements, including performance, durability, sizing, mounting etc. Utilize math modeling tools to design heat exchangers. Direct the creation of, review, and approve drawings for heat exchanger products. Oversee prototype sample build and delivery for customer and internal evaluations. Analyze heat exchanger test data and draw judgment in results. Review designs with production engineer and supplier to confirm manufacturing feasibility. Create Bill of Materials and design concept sheets to share and present to cross-functional team. Assess market trends, landscape, and conclude overview based on findings. Effectively apply required project management skills and tools to achieve successful project execution. Follow design release procedures and prepare documents for Design Review milestones (e.g., DFMEA, design concept sheet, risk assessment, design change history log). Work with engineering staff members at customer locations on the development of designs, specifications, and requirements. Other duties as assigned. Telecommuting permitted 60% of time. Domestic and International Travel required up to 30% of time.
