WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The CNC Specialist is a key position at our Metal Tech Facility. We have roles available on day and night shift. You’ll work in our metal shop setting up, operating and maintaining the Laser, Plasma Cutter, Trax Plate Application Machine, and other specialized forming equipment.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you’ll primarily work with a small team of machine operators.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
Selecting programs from the controller menu, making program edits, and occasionally programming new parts in accordance with defined specifications and manufacturing standards.
Calling correct programs and operating CNC equipment to produce parts that conform to specifications and the production schedule.
Monitoring the machine operation and taking necessary steps to allow the machine to function properly. Troubleshooting any machine issues and assisting supervisor and/or maintenance in the diagnosis and corrective action.
Using cranes, forklifts and other lifting equipment, when certified, in support of manufacturing.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced, team environment. You have demonstrated manufacturing experience operating CNC machinery. You have the ability to read and interpret production drawings and are skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
