DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position provides administrative and clerical support to the purchasing office and various other departments.  Some of the responsibilities include the following: Type letters, memorandums, and various other forms as directed. Assist facility requisitioners with entering shopping carts and monitoring the shopping cart approval process. Provide the facility accounting department with copies of all documentation for P-Card purchases. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Some evening and weekend hours as needed. Salary:  Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes) You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience working in a long-term care or large healthcare facility. Experience working in a purchasing clerk capacity.

Experience in typing and data entry. Experience with filing and retrieving documents. Experience creating work orders. Experience answering, screening, and forwarding telephone calls. Experience updating policy and procedure manuals and proofreading for accuracy. Experience with Microsoft Excel. Experience working in SAP or SRM entering shopping carts and/or requisitions. Experience processing goods receipts for credit card orders. Experience working in a purchasing capacity obtaining required documents from vendors for contracts. Experience contacting vendors for pricing information.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
