This position serves as a Database Administrator working within a team of DBAs to keep servers operational, backed-up, and optimized. In this role you will conduct and coordinatein-depth studies involving substantial technical research and systems analysis. In addition, you will perform daily monitoring of the systems and documenting operational processes are primary tasks during a typical day.
Essential Functions
- Under administrative direction, serves a Database Administratorfor the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT).
- Conducts and coordinates in-depth studies involving substantial technical research and systems analysis.
- Performs problem diagnostics of complex operating systems and problems.
- Serves as project coordinator for full-range major/complex projects, very large hardware/software deployments and installations across multiple agencies and locations.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
