General Description

Responsible for the daily supervision of the Debit Cards Services department and staff. Ensures all tasks and procedures are completed in a timely and accurate manner, and that all customer and employee questions and requests are handled appropriately. Keeps the Debit Cards Services Manager informed and updated regarding all issues affecting his/her area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Debit Card Services Manager with the review, delegation, and supervision of workloads and daily tasks, ensuring tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains a strong working knowledge of all departmental policies and procedures to provide department staff with ongoing support and guidance. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.

  • Assists management with compiling departmental data for analytical and reporting purposes. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.

  • Knowledgeable of debit card standards, bank policies, procedures, and regulation E. Also responsible for the daily use of software programs including Cencon and Fraud Watch. Assists employees and customers with reviewing and answering questions related to outstanding debits and errors on customers cards. Refers more difficult or complex problems to Debit Card Services Manager. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.

  • Works closely with subordinate staff evaluating their performance, maintaining discipline, addressing complaints, and resolving issues. Is responsible for the selection and placement of staff. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).

  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3 to 7 years of related experience and/or training, including 1 to 12 months related management experience.

  • Regular use of desktop/laptop computer, basic operating systems, and specialized software systems.

  • Basic experience with accounting, alphanumeric data entry, Presentation/PowerPoint, and word processing; intermediate experience with Spreadsheets.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Travel Requirement

Must be able to travel for occasional training opportunities.
