We are currently seeking applicants for a Member Services (Communications, Marketing) Specialist in our Member Services & Corporate Communications division located in Springfield, MO. This position is responsible for the development and promotion of marketing and media resource for Associated Electric and its member cooperatives as well as providing general member services support. This includes brochures, posters, research, templates, video production, advertisements, podcasts and other print promotional materials, digital marketing material, social media graphics and management of social sites as well as website design and maintenance. You will develop new promotional and educational business information for cooperatives’ use with their members as well as a marketing and advertising strategy based on member survey results .

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, multi-media communications or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • At least two years’ experience developing marketing materials, managing website content and/or digital/social media development.

  • Proficiency in video, audio production techniques including video, audio and camera equipment and non-linear editing software.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud applications, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, with a working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing social/digital media initiatives.

  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with a positive demeanor to serve as a liaison between AECI, member systems, safety program staff, Missouri State High School Activities Association, Touchstone Energy and other strategic partners.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Skills and ability to develop and execute presentations and represent Associated and its membership to varying audiences.

  • Creative mindset to keep materials and resources fresh and relevant.

  • Experience providing content and assisting with production of radio and television ads preferred.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including overnight travel.
