Description
Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to support an interim engagement with a $35M Manufacturing client in Springfield, OH. The interim Accounting resource will provide daily, wide-ranging accounting support during a period of transition for the company, with both the Controller and CFO nearing retirement. Primary responsibilities will be working with the outgoing Controller and CFO to take over accounting operations such as: month-end close, financial statement prep, reconciliations, inventory analysis, and other ad hoc accounting responsibilities. This role is expected to be a long-term contract role based onsite at the client's location in Springfield, OH.
Responsibilities:
• Taking the lead in the month end close process
• Preparing and presenting financial statements
• Ensuring efficient cost accounting practices
• Overseeing and managing inventory levels
• Filling a traditional manufacturing senior accounting role
• Assisting in the transition process as the CFO and Controller retire
• Collaborating with an AP/AR clerk to maintain financial operations
• Ensuring the accuracy of financial data and records.
Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Accounting field.
• Prior experience in the Metal Fabrication or Manufacturing Industry is required.
• Proficiency in managing Month End Close processes is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability in Financial Statement Preparation is vital.
• Candidate should be capable of working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
• A demonstrated history of managing accounting teams is essential.
• Advanced understanding of accounting software and systems is required.
• Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and procedures is necessary.
• Proven ability to develop and implement financial systems and controls is a must.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
