About the Role

Our award-winning Culinary Team have a new opportunity for a Commis Chef to join us, as we embark on exciting year in 2024. Led by our Executive Chef, you will create superb dishes with locally sourced Scottish produce and be responsible for your own section whilst gaining invaluable guidance and development within the resort.

The Commis Chef is responsible for striving to exceed the food quality expectations of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa guests and for the daily successful operation of the assigned workstation in the kitchen. You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role and be used to the high demands and flexibility required for such a position.

Working in a friendly inclusive kitchen that creates superb dishes from 3 rosettes to light Spa snacks using fresh, local produce. We cater for private events from 6 to 600. This is an exciting and challenging role that will allow you to develop your skills and progress. Reporting into the Sous Chef in the kitchen, you will gain invaluable guidance and development from within the resort.

Salary

This a full- time permanent role with a salary of £25,705.00. Additional hours are paid as overtime and accommodation is available if required to assist with re-location.

Skills/Requirements

· A solid knowledge of culinary terminology and techniques

· Educated to an SVQ 1 & 2, or an NVQ or equivalent, as well as having the ability to work at all stations in the kitchen.

· A minimum of 2-years previous culinary experience in hospitality.

· Excellent Communication skills

· Meticulous Attention to detail

· Be passionate about providing the highest levels of service to both the customers and the team
