Primary Objective of Position:

As the Director of Sales, you will be a key member of the leadership team and pivotal in building on EBI’s 50 years of success. The Sales Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies to maintain and grow established specialty services business as well as identification of new business opportunities within power generation facilities across the U.S.

Be ready to drive revenue growth, expand market share and enhance customer relationships. This position will build on the company’s well-established client base and reputation by helping drive continued growth and lead the expansion of our sales team by demonstrating and driving proactive customer service, sales and closing processes from initial opportunity through award. Maintain and strengthen positive customer relationships throughout the power industry while meeting corporate objectives and supporting the mission. Provide motivation, training, and leadership to the sales, marketing and proposal development teams while ensuring client fleet penetration and company revenue goals are accomplished.

This role will be expected to travel an estimated 10% - 30% of the year on an as needed basis to various company sales events. Travel percentage may vary depending on multiple factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve client penetration goals and revenue targets.

  • Lead technical presentations in front of clients as needed.

  • Identify new and current market expansion opportunities to address client needs.

  • Fleet service agreement strategy development and execution.

  • Meet and exceed corporate objectives while demonstrating and expanding on the high caliber reputation the company has established since 1974.

  • Drive sales pipeline development and management, ensuring accurate forecasting and a favorable close ratio.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, proposal development, operations, accounting and other departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitive activities to identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the power generation services industry landscape, client fleet variability, market dynamics, competitor positioning and market volatility.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, tradeshows and conduct client meetings which result in measurable ROI.

  • Demonstrate and drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence within the organization, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Lead and manage CRM utilization and reporting.

  • Cultivate EBI’s value sell methodology

  • Emergent Availability – This position requires intermittent availability during weekends, evenings, and early mornings for emergency projects. This does not restrict the use of their time off from work and will only be required to report to work when emergency jobs are prevalent.

  • Process Improvement – Supports the efforts of ISO 9001 and process improvement by recommending methods, equipment, techniques, and other changes to improve company operation. Participates in internal audits, risk assessment and corrective actions as required.

  • Apparent or Assigned – Performs any other work as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications for Entry:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in, engineering, technical service sales, construction services or project management relevant to the power generation industry.

  • 5 years of professional experience in sales preferred, with a proven track record of achieving revenue growth and client market penetration in a services sales role within a B2B environment.

  • Relevant power generation services industry experience; knowledge of industry business drivers and motivators regarding sales, business development, alliances, and continuing service agreement execution and implementation

  • Demonstrated history of exceptional people management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to listen to opposing views and evaluate alternative solutions and ideas.

  • Actively displays personal & corporate responsibility, professionalism and integrity.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively to meet sales goals.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrative ability and knowledge of online electronic communication platforms and MS Office software expertise.

  • Current and Valid driver’s license.

  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.
