SAS - Assistant Professor, Computers and Technology
St. George’s University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor position, in the department of Computers and Technology in the School of Arts and Sciences, beginning 8/1/2024
Job Description
Objective
Responsible for teaching, conducting research, and serving on committees for the School of Arts and Sciences.
Instructional Activities
Ability to develop and deliver a range of courses in the department, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Teach undergraduate courses in information technology, including but not limited to:
Introduction to Networking
Data Communication and Networking
Software Engineering
Database Theory and Applications
Data Analytics, data mining and Visualization
Emerging Trends in Information Technology
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information System or a related field from an accredited institution.
A record of successful teaching and research, with a strong publication record in academic journals.
Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor students and junior faculty members.
A commitment to continued professional development and growth.
A good record of scholarly research, attending conferences and academic events.
Stay current with developments in the field of information technology management and integrate relevant industry trends and best practices into teaching and research activities.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
This is a full time position in the Caribbean island of Grenada.
