Provide service support to patients who request our care. Support phone center, front desk duties and check-in responsibilities either in a permanent or rotating manner. Answer calls in a timely, pleasant and professional manner, document service requests, schedule appointments according to provider rules and guidelines, confer with patient to obtain and confirm pertinent billing and demographic information, accurately enter patient and insurance information into system and complete the patient registration process in an accurate manner. High School education or equivalent, 6 months related experience and basic computer skills preferred. Strong verbal and written communication, human relations sensitivity, listening and telephone etiquette skills, medical terminology knowledge desirable, accurate keyboarding skills, comfort in asking patients for co pays and race collection, ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality. Additional Information This position will be mainly at the front desk, but will also be required to cross train to call center for cross coverage purposes.
